A recap of the biggest skincare trends this year so far

2021 has been the year of trends.

The start of this year was difficult for many, our lives were put on hold. This gave people the chance to spend more time on things that they normally wouldn’t, for example self-care. And with self-care, comes skincare! Whether the news of a new skincare trend spread over Instagram, Tik Tok or just word of mouth, almost everyone knew about it. We thought we would give you a run down of which trends we’ve seen this year so far.

What’s your favourite skincare trend from 2021? Let us know in the comments!

Haircare is the new skincare?

What do you think about this statement? According to Dr. Anjali Mahto your scalp is an extension of your facial skin and we should be giving it just as much care. The buzz around scalp-care and hair growth quickly spread and everyone was testing the theory. Does scalp exfoliation promote hair growth? Another haircare trend this year was Hyaluronic Acid, which is a much loved and very well known ingredient in a lot of skincare products. However some people claim it protects the hair against ageing.

Our Revolumising & Revitalising Biotin Scalp & Hair Treatment is a prodigious product with an ultra light, non-greasy texture, highly concentrated in plant-based extracts, proteins and vitamins, aiming to energise the hair bulb to help the hair to anchor, making it more resistant, whilst nourishing and refreshing the scalp. This product contain biotin, which aims to thicken hair and stimulate growth.

It’s all about the eyes!

The stress of the past year has taken a toll on our skin, especially the skin around our eyes. Late nights and difficulty sleeping can make us more prone to dark circles and puffy eyes. Our eyes are also exposed to environmental aggressors on a daily basis, which can contribute to signs of ageing.

Our Brightening & De-Puffing Hyaluronic Overnight Eye Recovery Mask is fortified with revolutionary ingredients specifically formulated for the delicate eye area. Combining Hyaluronic Acid, Shea Butter and Pullulan, this innovative night eye mask helps decongest puffy eyes, eye bags and reduce fine lines and wrinkles, leaving the eye area radiant and refreshed.

Selfcare and De-stress!

We don’t have to remind you why all of us invested in some selfcare the past year, but let’s just say we deserved some self love! Helping us to decompress, selfcare has become a huge part of our lives, whether that’s taking an extra 10 minutes for yourself, doing some yoga or investing time into your skincare.

These are some of our favourite self care products from Avant:
