Natural Active Ingredients

Natural Ingredients in your skincare has no factual basis or scientific legitimacy for being better for your skin. Dr Linda M Katz says, “Consumers should not necessarily assume that an ‘organic’ or ‘natural’ ingredient or product would possess greater inherent safety than another chemically identical version of the same ingredient.”

However there are ingredients that can be found in store-bought skincare that can be significantly more dangerous chemicals in skincare, especially in the US, for example Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, which has been known to cause damage to your kidneys and respiratory system. Other issues could be hormonal imbalances because some of these chemicals can be hormonal disruptors.

So naturally, why not lean towards skincare that has more natural ingredients?

When we reference natural skincare, we also are including products that are created within the body. Many ingredients are good for your skin and should be included in a skincare routine with aims of protecting and hydrating your skin (even if you have oily skin). There are many more that you can use however these are featured in some of our products:

Lecithin is a phospholipid which means that the part of it is attracted to water and the tail is repelled by water. It makes it perfect for helping moisturising ingredients penetrate further into your skin and protect your skin from free radicals.

Aloe Vera is a very common ingredient in things like Aftersun as it’s healing abilities are well know. It also helps fight against inflammation, redness and itching.

Vitamin E is normally used in conjunction with Vitamin C. It’s naturally found on your skin and is easily depleted from UV exposure and other environmental factors but using a treatment helps to give your skin an extra protective boost.

Vitamin E can be found in our Power E Jojoba Facial Drop Treatment

Coconut Oil has recently become very popular in both skincare and hair care. It works to strengthen the underlying epidermal tissue of your skin and removes dead skin cells. It’s so versatile that it can be used for many other purposes such as hair care for its antioxidant properties.

It should also be noted that natural ingredients aren’t good for all skin. People with more sensitive skin might find that they have reactions and should stay away from ingredients such as: Alcohol (especially if you have dry skin), Citrus, Balsam, Fennel and Grapefruit.
