Soki London Reviews Our New Fragrance-To-Share™ Collection
I’ve been familiar with the Avant Skincare for a while, and when I saw the release of four new fragrances I couldn’t wait to give them a try.
I’ve always found the concept of the four elements; Earth, Wind, Fire and Water as such a powerful concept. The four new Avant fragrances represent each of the elements, so I tried each one out over four days to see how each one evoked their element.
Persian Sunset
Persian Sunset is a clear, crisp lemon which feels very unisex. At first I sensed a lot of citrus notes; lemon, bitter orange and a hint of wood. These notes were then followed by a green cypress scent which conjure memories of the Italian and Greek Islands in the summer. There are hints of tonka bean and caramel in the base of the fragrance but for me, wearing Persian Sunset was a refreshing, sharp citrus experience ideal for hot and humid days. My boyfriend also really enjoyed wearing the fragrance to work!
Pure Emerald
Imagine walking through a forest on the first day of Spring. Pure Emerald with its earthy, cedar notes took me away to that feeling of being surrounded by dew on bark. I felt the fragrance was calming and natural, perfect as a ‘Sunday’ scent; for walking in the countryside or gathering around a camp fire.
Caress
Sweet peach and cashmere followed me around all day while I was wearing Caress. Undeniably feminine, Caress is everything I want from a perfume when I’m in a particularly feminine mood. The scent isn’t sickly sweet, but rather a sophisticated white floral peach combined with a creamy cashmere in a unique and comforting way. I think Caress is my favourite from the four fragrances-to-share™.
Ambuscade
Ambuscade has to be the ‘fire element’ with its spicy, slightly fruity nutmeg perfume notes. This kind of fragrance is ideal for Christmas-time; it evokes memories of fruit punch and cosy days by the fire. Raspberry is one of my favourite perfume notes and in Ambuscade a wild raspberry note adds a charming and sophisticated freshness to the nutmeg.
It was fun adopting four different scents over four days. It was also useful to have fragrances which my partner could use as well! fragrance-to-share™ is a lovely and thoughtful range which feels niche yet accessible, modern and wearable; I now have fragrances to wear to almost every occasion.
