The Science
Intense Acne Battling & Purifying French Green Clay Mask harnesses the power of revolutionary ingredients such as Zincidone and Green Clay. Acting as a physio-seboregulator, Zincidone aims to reduce the level of skin sebum whilst limiting bacterial proliferation and skin irritation, which reinforces skin barrier function. Zincidone is a type of Zinc salt. Zinc is known for its action inhibiting an enzyme involved in steroid metabolism and as a specific trace element for seboregulation, regulating sebum production in your skin. Overproduction of sebum can be a prime cause of acne. Zincidone can help to regulate the activity of the sebaceous glands and reduce the level of skin sebum.
Green Clay aims to soak up the excess oils that clog the pores and lead to acne and imperfections, whilst enhancing a deep cleansing that helps balance pH levels. French Green Clay is brilliant for oily skin types as they work much better at absorbing excess oil than more gentle based ones. It helps to clear out clogged pores, eliminating blackheads, whiteheads and acne thanks to purifying properties that draw out impurities and toxins.

How do I get the most out of it?
Start by washing your skin.
Use your middle and ring fingers to scoop out some of the clay mask. Start with a small amount, about the size of a dime.
Place some clay mask on the apples of your cheeks and gently spread it around your cheeks, forehead, temples, chin and forehead, avoiding the eye area.
Leave the mask on for 10 minutes before rinsing it off.
Wring a clean cotton cloth out and completely and gently rub it against the mask. Keep rinsing with lukewarm water and wringing the cloth our in between gently rubbing the mask off.
Use the clay mask once per week, as the clay will absorb moisture from the skin along with any impurities.
#AvantTips: Do not let the clay mask dry completely on your face. The 'wet' phase of a face mask is when your skin soaks up all the nutrients and when the mask dried, this later starts sucking up the natural oils in your face.
