Face oil FAQs
Many of our facial oils treat signs of ageing, but if you’re looking for something specific, you’ll want to find a product packed with anti-oxidants and hyaluronic acid to rejuvenate and plump your skin.
Yes - applying oil to your face daily is one of the best ways to lock in moisture and keep your skin feeling fresh. Use before your SPF in the morning, or last thing at night as a great way to keep your skin glowing and smooth.
Facial oil should be applied after your moisturiser, but before your SPF products.
Here’s how to incorporate a face oil into your skincare routine:
- Clean your skin gently - First start by cleansing your face to any sweat or dead skin and carefully pat your skin dry.
- Apply your products - Depending on your routine, apply the necessary products, such as toners and serums.
- Moisturise effectively - Apply key moisture by applying a moisturiser thoroughly throughout your face, paying close attention to areas that are particularly dry or sensitive.
- Lock in moisture with a face oil - After your moisturiser has absorbed, apply one of our oils to lock in that moisture and protect your skin.
Apply SPF - in the morning, once the oil has dried, you can then go in and apply SPF products.
Many of our face oils are good for using in both the morning and the night, however, some of our products are designed just for night use - such as our Hyaluronic Acid Age Fix Toning Night Concentrate Mist. Many also work on your skin overnight too!
Facial oils are best used alongside moisturisers and serums - with skincare, there isn’t just one product that will do everything. Making sure your face is cleansed and moisturised is a key part of skincare - and depending on your skin’s needs, our oils and other serums can help your skin repair and improve.
