Vegan Friendly – FAQs
Vegan skincare refers to products that contain no animal-derived ingredients (such as beeswax or collagen.) Our range includes plant-based, natural alternatives to take the best care of your skin, but in order to be classed as ‘vegan’ the product must also not be tested on animals.
We are certified by PETA’s Cruelty-Free International programme, guaranteeing that our finished products and raw ingredients have never been tested on animals. We are proud to say we’re a vegan skincare brand that takes care of animals, using no animal testing.
In the UK, vegan skincare will be marked vegan if it uses no animal products, and only uses natural alternatives. However, you should also check that the vegan skincare brand doesn’t test on animals - Avant is PETA-certified, demonstrating our commitment to animal protection. Our skincare for vegans doesn’t just use vegan ingredients, they are truly cruelty free.
Not always - many vegan brands use no animal products in their range, however, some still do test on animals. If this is something important to you, make sure you double check which brands test on animals, and which don’t. Our range of vegan skincare products have not been tested on animals - making our skincare for vegans 100% cruelty free.
Which products are better for you depends on your skin type - however, many people find that skincare for vegans is better for their sensitivities - soothing any irritation and making the skin feel clean and fresh. If you have sensitive skin, vegan skincare might be a good option for you, if other products have caused you problems in the past.
Vegan skincare products can be better for the environment as they don’t use animal products or byproducts - but that doesn’t mean the packaging is sustainable! At Avant, we make sure our skincare in this range is 100% vegan and cruelty free, plus all of our packaging is fully sustainable - making it extremely eco-friendly!
