Add Radiance To Your Body
Especially during winter, we want our bodies to reflect the good times that we had over the summer and to keep it looking at the way even when it’s bitterly cold outside. There are a couple of ways to boost the radiance of your skin, that can leave your skin looking bright and dewy just as it would if you had been sitting on a beach.
Radiance can be achieved in three easy changes to your skincare:
Cleanse your skin regularly
Dirt and debris that your skin is subject to on a daily basis can settle on your skin. This dirt can leave your skin looking lacklustre and can cause problems such as oxidative stress. The best way to avoid this is by cleansing your skin regularly, as well as incorporating antioxidants in your skincare. Best practice for cleansing your skin is both in the morning and at night, to make sure that your skin is clear at all times of the day.
Try our Blue Volcanic Stone Purifying & Antioxidising Cleansing Gel, to gently cleanse your skin. It’s rich in cocoa which is an antioxidant powerhouse. It can work to make your skin look clearer as well as protect it from the environment.
Exfoliate regularly
Our skin naturally sheds itself through a process known as desquamation. It’s great to get rid of dead skin cells. However, as we get older this process doesn’t work as optimal as it did when we were younger. This can lead to dead skin cells hanging around on the surface of your skin, leaving your skin looking dull. Gentle exfoliation either with physical or chemical exfoliants can break the bonds created between dead and living skin cells, leaving your skin looking more even and bright. The key point with exfoliation is to make sure that you don’t do it too hard or too regularly as it can cause microtears on the top layer of your skin. Dermatologists suggest that exfoliating once a week is optimal for bright skin.
For a chemical exfoliator, you can try our Glycolic Acid Rejuvenating Face Exfoliator. If you aren’t a fan of chemical exfoliators, you can try our Gentle Rose Beautifying Face Exfoliator.
Moisturise and incorporate glowing ingredients in your skincare
One of the key ways to look after your skin is by making sure that its moisturised. If your skin lacks moisture, the signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles can set in prematurely. Therefore just to keep your skin looking at it’s best, it’s paramount that you keep it moisturised. There are some skincare products that include ingredients that are designed to give your skin more of a glow, keep your eyes out for anything with rose or mica in. Both of these ingredients are well known in the cosmeceutical industry as amazing skin brighteners.
Mica is included in our Sublime Peony and White Caviar Illuminating Serum. It’s also designed to reduce pigmentation and protect your skin from the environment.
